From Holly Collins: I am looking for help on our 4th Sundays of the month! One of our Red Room teaching teams has had to step down from our kids' ministry. I would like to jump in and teach on this week...I LOVE teaching 2-3 year olds! However, I currently help Pastor John teach the older kids on this week. In order for me to make the shift I need: - 2 adults to join Pastor John and his team in teaching the older kids! John is FABULOUS at this and it's so fun to serve with him...if he can do it, so can you! - 2 adults to join me in leading the Red Room...come play with us and watch God move among our littlest brothers and sisters in Christ! It's amazing what these little hearts can soak up! ALSO, I am still working on improving and expanding services we can offer to our kids with special needs. I am looking for 2-3 more Buddies, who would be willing to give one-on-one love to a child 1 Sunday a month. You do not need previous experience. We will train you, while working closely with their parents to give them a much needed breather on Sunday mornings. It's an honor to serve these families in the Kingdom. If you are able...NO. You are all able to give something to our kids! If you are WILLING to come on board and serve please contact me at: 734-625-6025 or email@example.com Thank you!
LOOKING FOR IDEAS! I'd like to do an outreach/service event in August with our KDG - 5th graders. I'm looking for ideas for organizations/people groups that our children could bless and serve. If you have any thoughts, please contact Holly!
I AM A CHILD OF GOD...HERE AM I, LORD, SEND ME! We've been teaching your kids about their identity in Christ and who God is for them. We are building on that by challenging them to take who they are out into the world to give away to others. Your children are invited into the Mission of the Kingdom! We are now studying the Life of Christ in all 4 Gospels, specifically looking at what Jesus teaches us about His mission. Your children will be given opportunities to practice Jesus' methods and we will be asking God this year to fill their hearts with His compassion for the lost! Please pray for your kids and their leaders this year!
Help with Funeral Dinners—This is a huge blessing to those who have lost loved ones in our congregation. It's also a great time of fellowship and sometimes you get to take leftovers home! Here’s how you can get involved: Join a team and serve a meal. We share these tasks: Making and serving beverages, cutting and serving desserts, refilling food, warming veggies, making instant potatoes and gravy, and cleaning up. Or you can donate a homemade or store-bought salad or dessert. If you are interested please call Julie DeSloover 734-384–9636.
An option to Tithe Online is now available. (See the Giving link in the menu at the top of this page.) Handouts are in the lobby.
