THIS COMING SUNDAY
This Sunday, December 21, Pastor John will preach on
1 John 4:17-18:
This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
Jesus is pursuing you, even right now. We encourage you to rest in His presence today because he has much to say to you. Speak to him and listen, he is screaming his love for you. He wants nothing but you.
Chris and Lori Bajkiewicz have received a request for 650 hats for a church providing a feeding program for school children on the east side of Tijuana (Night time temps there are now falling into the near freezing range) If you've been making hats and are waiting to send them, now is the time! Please bring them to the Redeemer church office. If you have never made hats for the ministry before, please consider starting to knit or crochet (they also accept fleece hats) for next year. With a goal of just one hat a week, you would have 52 hats by next winter! Gather some friends together with the goal for each person to make one hat a month and see how fast a box will fill up! Yarn and simple patterns are available at the church office. To find out more about the project or to contact Chris and Lori directly please click here
CHRISTMAS OF GIVING An opportunity to bless a Redeemer family member! Ornaments with gift requests are hanging on the trees in the lobby. Please choose some, purchase the requests and bring them back to the church, wrapped, with the ornament attached, by Dec 17th. If you want to give but have no time to shop, you can make a donation toward “Christmas of Giving” on your envelope. Call Cindy Robinson for more (734-625-7224).
Christmas Sing! Children ages 5 to 5th grade are invited to sing Emmanuel by Chris Tomlin with us on Sunday, December 21 during service. We will practice in the sanctuary Saturdays, December 13th and 20th (both at 10 a.m.) and Sunday December 21st at 9:45 a.m. To get lyrics or a copy of the song, or if you have any questions, contact Holly (734-625-6025) or Linda Piippo (734-243-6427)
Christmas Evening Candlelight and Communion Service - 6 PM, Dec. 24. This service will last an hour or less.
Gift for the Savior and Christmas Eve Candlelight and Communion Service: At 5:40 p.m. the sanctuary will be open for those who wish to present their Gift to the Savior. Some find it meaningful to wrap their gift. The ushers will lead you to the altar where you are welcome to offer your gift to God and spend a moment in worship, either by yourself or with family and friends.
This year you are encouraged to designate your gift to our church’s general fund. This year general giving has not met budget needs in 2014. It’s important we start 2015 with a strong foundation under our general expenses since we will start our new addition as soon as weather permits. Of course, those who wish may still designate their gift to mission causes such as Bajkiewiciz and McDaniel, as the Lord leads. (If you are unable to make the Christmas Eve Service, you can still give to these ministries by indicating your choice on your Sunday offering envelopes. Checks should be written to Redeemer Fellowship. Please be specific so the Tellers can allocate funds accurately). Christmas Eve Service starts at 6 p.m.
2015 Offering Envelopes will be Available in the Back of the Sanctuary next Sunday, 2014 Contributions must be given to the office by Midnight Dec 31st. The church will be open for the Worship Bash that evening. All Contributions received after Dec 31st will be counted for the 2015 year. Thank you!
Worship In the New Year With Us - New Year's Eve, begins at 8 PM with games, snacks, etc. Then we'll move into the sanctuary around 11 or so and worship into 2015!

Redeemer Ministry School Winter 2015
We are a people driven and motivated to passionately love and abide with the real Jesus. We believe that God has much to say to you and is screaming out his love for you each and every day. Our mission is to partner with the Holy Spirit and unlock the doors of heaven to invade the earth. We would love to have you come and attend our ministry school to encourage you and teach you how to use the gifts God has destined you to use.
WINTER RMS CLASSES:
TORAH: The First 5 Books of the Bible.
We Are a Presence-Driven Church
We're presence-driven (God's presence) rather than purpose-driven or program-driven. It is in God's presence that direction (purpose) comes.
Our focus at Redeemer is on the Real Jesus - knowing him, and abiding in him. We've recently preached through the four Gospels (a 6-year project),and are currently preaching through the Jesus-sections in the letters of Paul which would be referred to the "Christology of Paul."
We are developing a Jesus-literate and biblically literate people who know Jesus, not simply in theory, but personally and relationally.
If you'd like to know more about who we are and what we believe, please visit our staff blogs.
